The Small Foundation is a community-driven platform founded by professional athlete Nikayla Small, dedicated to empowering youth through mentorship, leadership, and access to opportunity.
To empower youth through mentorship, leadership development, and community-based programming that builds confidence on and off the field.
Off the field, Nikki dedicates her time to mentorship, community engagement, and building platforms that prioritize leadership development and self-confidence. For Nikki, the work is bigger than sport — it's about impact, influence, and helping the next generation step fully into who they are meant to be.
To create a generation of confident leaders who understand their value, embrace their identity, and rise together through community.
When young people see someone who looks like them — achieving, leading, building — it shifts everything. That visibility isn't just representation. It's permission. And we are committed to making sure every young person who comes through our programs walks away knowing exactly who they are.
We cultivate belief — in ability, voice, and potential.
Opportunity should not be a privilege. We create pathways.
Growth happens collectively. We rise together.
We develop leaders, not just participants.
Visibility matters. When young people see it, they believe it.
The Small Foundation's mission is to empower youth through mentorship, leadership development, and community-based programming that builds confidence on and off the field. Founded by professional athlete Nikayla Small, the organization creates spaces where young people feel seen, supported, and ready to lead.
Small Foundation programs welcome youth of different age groups. Blueprint Lab serves athletes aged 7–15. All Around the Pitch is a FREE community event open to athletes aged 7–14 of all skill levels. The foundation prioritizes access and welcomes participants from all backgrounds across the Greater Toronto Area.
Leadership development happens through structured programming that combines technical athletic training, direct mentorship from Nikayla Small, and intentional community-building. Core values — confidence, access, community, leadership, and representation — are woven into every program.
Organizations can partner through sponsorships, programming partnerships, or community-based initiatives. Submit a foundation partnership inquiry at smallfoundation.ca/inquiries.html or contact sydney@scxtalentandmedia.com.
